According to the Indian Constitution, the President of India gives his resignation to the Vice President of India.
Article 56 of the Indian Constitution deals with the term of office of the President of India. It states that the President shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters into office. However, the President can resign from his office by submitting his resignation to the Vice President of India.
In addition to resigning from his office, the President can also be removed from his office through the process of impeachment. This process involves the passing of a resolution for impeachment by a special majority of both houses of the Indian Parliament, followed by an inquiry and investigation into the charges against the President. If the charges are found to be true, the President can be removed from his office by the order of the President of the Indian Parliament, which is the Vice President of India.
