Explanation
The founder of Punjab National Bank (PNB) is Lala Lajpat Rai. He was a prominent Indian freedom fighter and a member of the Indian National Congress. Along with other freedom fighters like Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal, Lala Lajpat Rai was a part of the Lal-Bal-Pal triumvirate that played a significant role in India's struggle for independence from British rule.
In 1894, Lala Lajpat Rai established Punjab National Bank with the objective of promoting economic growth and providing financial support to Indian businesses. Today, Punjab National Bank is one of the largest public sector banks in India and has a wide network of branches and ATMs across the country.
