Explanation
Lala Lajpat Rai is known as "Punjab Kesari" (Lion of Punjab). He was an Indian freedom fighter and a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress. Lala Lajpat Rai played an important role in India's struggle for independence from British rule. Along with other freedom fighters like Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal, Lala Lajpat Rai was a part of the Lal-Bal-Pal triumvirate that advocated for Swaraj or self-rule for India.
Lala Lajpat Rai was a fierce advocate for the rights of the Indian people and spoke out against British policies that he believed were harmful to Indian interests. He was also a prolific writer and journalist and founded a number of newspapers and magazines to promote his ideas. Due to his courage, determination, and leadership, Lala Lajpat Rai earned the nickname "Punjab Kesari" or "Lion of Punjab".
