Explanation
While Hindi is one of the official languages of India, the Indian Constitution recognizes 22 languages as official languages of the Union. These languages are:

6. Hindi
7. Kannada
8. Kashmiri
9. Konkani
10. Maithili
11. Malayalam
12. Manipuri
13. Marathi
14. Nepali
15. Odia

18. Santali
19. Sindhi
20. Tamil
21. Telugu
22. Urdu
Hindi, written in the Devanagari script, is one of the most widely spoken languages in India and is the official language of the Indian government. However, it is not the only official language of India. The government of India recognizes and promotes the use of all of the above-mentioned official languages.
