Explanation
The Sanchi Stupa is situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. It is located about 46 km northeast of Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. The Sanchi Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the oldest and most well-preserved Buddhist monuments in India. The stupa was originally built in the 3rd century BCE by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka and has been expanded and modified over the centuries.
