A:
President On Recommendation Of PM
B:
If The House Passes Resolution To The Effect
C:
If The House And Prime Minister Both Agree
D:
If Both Houses Pass A Resolution
Explanation
The Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, can be removed from his/her office by passing a resolution to this effect in the Lok Sabha. Option B is the correct answer.
According to Article 94 of the Indian Constitution, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha holds office during the tenure of the House. However, the House can remove the Speaker from his/her office by passing a resolution by a majority of all the then members of the Lok Sabha. This means that the resolution must be supported by at least half of the total number of members of the House.
The process for the removal of the Speaker can be initiated by giving at least 14 days' notice in writing to the Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha. The notice must be signed by not less than one-fourth of the total number of members of the House.
It is important to note that the President of India does not have the power to remove the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Similarly, the Prime Minister's agreement or the passage of a resolution by both houses of Parliament is also not required for the removal of the Speaker.
